Bridging of communication...

In this world, there are many different languages whether spoken or not. Some people are willing to try to figure out what others are saying other aren't willing to try. That is where Interpreters come in handy. There are alot of interpreters out there for many languages. In many languages they are high in demand. I am on person that is willing to try to bridge the gap of communication. I try to do my part in Interpreting for the Deaf. I first started learning about their language called American Sign Language (ASL) when I was around five years old. It is a really facinating language. ASL is an unspoken language that uses hands, facial expressions, and other bodily behavior to communicate. Many people believe that it is just a bunch of handshapes. Everything a Deaf person signs means something. In English and many other languages there is always some type of foundation to it all. American Sign Lanugage has the Five parameters which include: Palm Orientation, Location, Movement, Handshape, and non-manual markers. If you change just one of the five parameters it changes the whole many of the sign/word. Its amazing how similar signs can be but how different they are in meaning. I could go on all day telling you about the language. My whole goal in this blog is to tell you all my thoughts. Well now I am going to try to bridge the gap not only in communcation between the Deaf and Hearing. I am going to try to bridge the gap in Music! Soon I will start posting videos of myself signing songs, thoughts, etc. I am still learning so bare with me. I know I'm not perfect when it comes to ASL especially when it comes to the word order. I figured I would let you all know now that I know I'm not perfect with my signing. Well take tuned for some videos! :-)

To be continued...
